The Giant Dolls House Project installation at Shelter HQ between 1 – 10 of June 2015.

This installation was part of London Festival of Architecture. The dolls’houses were made by local schools and professional architects and their offices. The staff of the office of ALL design made a dinosaur disco, Ana Araujo, form Atelier Domino and the AA, made a meditative space, and Nerma Cridge, from the AA made a bedroom with her daughter Helena.

Chaos and Waste

November 2014

In the exhibition of the kitchen island (see works), I tried to address, in a comical manner the carelessness with which many of us buy products in shops or as takeaway wrapped in plastic. Yoghurt pots, Actimel (it takes a minute to drink), juice, water, packaged sandwiches, tomatoes, raspberries, olives, cream-cheese, milk, cream, and even apples, all come in plastic containers.

Plastered cotton buds

I casted the waste I collected in plaster and the plaster objects in turn populated the kitchen island.

We are working on the creation of A Giant Dolls’ House project on the wall of the TESTBED 1 space in Battersea, between 15 and 18 October. The dolls’ house is a fantastic medium to explore domestic space for children and adults alike, and placing them into one large installation on the wall will add an extra dimension. The project highlights the importance of a home for all and therefore we ask a contribution of one pound from each participant for the housing charity Shelter.
