The Giant Dolls’House consisted of 150 shoebox-rooms. Ropes, ramps and ladders between all boxes connected them. The dolls’ house thus becomes one sprawling series of spaces one can imagine wandering through. 

The dolls’ house is a fantastic medium to explore domestic and community space for children and adults alike through its three dimensionality, recognisability and appeal to the imagination. The dolls’ house we have found during this process is a topic every person has an opinion on.

This project highlights the importance of a home for all and we therefore asked each participant to contribute one pound to the housing charity Shelter.
